Coalville City, located 45 miles east on I-80 from Salt Lake City, is a rural paradise. Coalville is the county seat of Summit County. The historic Summit County Courthouse is located on main street, along with other historic homes built during the days when mining was king in the American West. Coalville is also home to the Summit County Fair each year. Other events include, the Triple Crown Girls Softball Tournament and the Coalville Cruise-In.

Coalville is also a great location to stop before heading into the Chalk Creek basin for snowmobiling, cycling, fishing, or water-skiing.
