Goals and Objectives
The Master Plan will serve as a conceptual idea and vision for the enhancement and improvement of down town Main Street Replace the existing “Welcome to Coalville” Sign and incorporate into the entry planter Stripe the angled parking stalls along Main Street as soon as possible Prepare an implementation and phasing plan and research and explore outside funding sources for the Master Plan improvements Create a Downtown Alliance that serve to implement the Master Plan

Identify Main Street Historic District
To create 'a Sense of Place." Enhance the social center and "heart" of Coalville Develop a sense of pride and community
Make Main Street a destination
One Stop Shopping. Get people out of their cars. Contiguous retail shops at street level
Make downtown more user friendly
Pedestrian circulation (Walkable) Provide shade/shelter. Street furnishings (benches, lights. flowers) Make the walking experience safe and comfortable
Preserve and promote Rural/Small Town qualities
Mom and Pop shops Historic preservation Casual atmosphere.
Develop along range plan
"Small Steps" (phases of development) Anticipate and guide future growth.
